Whoa!!! This is one red ale. It's almost like a liquid ruby sitting below a fluffy, two finger head. Beautiful looking. Smell of grass, sweet malt, bitter and floral hops, orange, fruit and coffee. The first taste is sweet. Almost surprisingly sweet. Second sip is more mellow. The sweet oranges, fruits and malts are balanced by dry grasses, bitter hops and bitter coffee. Aftertaste is almost like rum. Is molasses used in this? Doesn't say in the ingredients. Thick, somewhat syrupy mouthfeel. Little oily. A good beer.
