I've waited awhile to rate this...sorry. Noone else will ever see this again. CBfanwish and myself were some of the lucky ones to partake of Hoppy Accident. This brew, as it's name suggests, was an accident.

Eye Candy: Translucent and hazy, more on the golden side of yellow. Nice pillowy head that gave way to ample lacing that lasted throughout. Superb hop "clumping" on top.

The Nose Knows: Mainly floral with a slight citrus. Nothing to overbearing, but def hoppier than the British IPA.

Tongueland: Slightly citrus on the tongue up front, mixed with a flowery middle, and finished, suprisingly, not oily and lingering.

Bender Factor: Not Applicable.

Of all mistakes for a brewer to make, this was the best. Sometimes a guy just isn't looking for balance. Today, I was one of those guys.
Hoppy Accident is a very limited release pale ale from Flour City Brewing Co. As a matter of fact, it was supposed to be dumped out. Most of it was. I am fortunate to get a pint of it before they ran out.
Kent goldings hops were used as the main ingrediant in this unfiltered hazy golden coloured offering. It sits with a moderate white head with good retention and a steady white lace down the sides of the glass.
The aroma is very floral with hints of orange and other citrus fruits.
Taste was very earthy with a slight citrus tongue. It went down easy and felt even better coming back up in a hoppy belch.
