First, gotta love the name. Im tired of all those sissy, virtuous beers, arent you? Seems like every time you ask for a beer these days its St. This or Two-Hearted That. Some are actually brewed by monks. Well, not this one. Its brewed in McMinnville.
Evil IPA alleges to be evil because of its ABV content, which I am told hovers just over 8%. This is important because a truly evil beer should always have an ABV higher than the national unemployment rate.
But is this beer really evil? Can we say that any non-sentient yeast fermentation product is truly capable of moral reasoning? Perhaps. But the greater truth is that this beer really isnt all that bad. In fact, I think its pretty good.
Evil IPA is a defiant departure from Trasks regular line-up. It is clouded, has a generous, floral hop aroma, and is bold in every dimension. Even the mouthfeel is more full than Trasks other beers. The color is warm amber and Belgian lace forms a solid wall-to-wall presentation.
All the classic lines of a full-bodied IPA are here. The flavor is resinous with a liberal measure of bright hops, the aroma is profuse, and the ABV approaches ass-kicking territory. One might hope that all imperial IPAs were this evil.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
