A- Bright orange. Head starts at about a finger and a half. Disappates down to one finger and stays there pretty well. Tons of lacing. Pretty much walls the glass. Lots of fine carbonation bubbles. One of the best looking beers I've had.
S- Caramel, toffee, earthyness, and a lumber/wood aroma.
T- Toffee, caramel. Earthy hops. Very balanced. A certain forest like hop presence. Not like pine, but more like leafyness and fresh cut wood. An excellent example of the style, except for the fact that there is a flash of diacetyl in the finish that is a bit bothersome.
M- Perhaps a bit light in the body for the style, but the carbonation is so spot on on this one that I have to give it a solid 4.
O- A good example of an English IPA. I wish more brewers would focus on beers like this rather than making hop bombs. Granted, I love intense hoppiness, but there is a gap in American brewing that beers like this can fill.
