Mine poured a little light amber color, good nose and a small head. It was hoppy, with a piney taste to it. Very good IPA. It is the staple along with Vashon. I was impressed with the bres here and eventhough the brewpub was in a garage it was very cool and local. There was a local dog who was licking my friends toes haha.

Pours a darker amber color than the standard IPA. The head is decent, nothing spectacular. Lacing is good. The smell is very strong on pine, smells very earthy, hints of citrus and caramel are there but the overpowering pine hop is very potent. Very enjoyable aroma. The taste is somewhat odd, you smell all these hops and then you can't taste them, not a west coast hop overload like I like. The woodsy pine is so overpowering it is tough for the other qualities such as the grapefruit/lemon citrus to shine through. Tastes more like a hopped up amber. Molasses and caramel are detected as well. Full bodied for most IPA's, good to try but better IPA's out there.

Sampled in mid-June at the Central Saloon in downtown Seattle. Came out an almost brown clear copper under a beige one finger head with good retention and full lace sheeting. The nose was very mild, with just a hint of floral hops. The mouth is lightly carbonated and light bodied. The taste is mainly smooth malt, with a touch of bitterness, but not enough hops for my image of an IPA. There's more of a floral bitterness in the aftertaste, but still not enough. I fairly easy drinking brew, but not what the style demands.
