Bomber poured into my large Gulden Draak tulip, IX is a hazy dark gold with a small white collar leaving light, scattered lace.
Smell is yeasty, some banana esters as well as some sour citrus, modest.
Taste is more on the spicy, phenolic side of the yeast profile, dominating a bready malt base. The spice and regular yeast flavor increase as it warms. Not too complex.
Mouthfeel is very dry, a little sugary.
Drinkability is okay, not a great BSPA, but serviceable. An average, generic version of the style, it's as lacking flaws as it is character. Decent price is the only reason I'd revisit it.

The brewery called this a Belgian Golden, but that isn't a style listed here, so added it here. Served in straight pint glass. Poured a lightly hazy golden color with just a thin cap of white head that had low retention and light lacing.
The aroma was mostly sweet, slightly fruity, a bit of yeast popping through and a hint of grain in the background. The flavors were fairly similar, fruity, yeasty and grainy.
The body was smooth and full, although a bit sticky sweet. Drinkability was good, it was a bit too sticky and sweet for me to have more than one in row, but I would have one a day. Overall, a decent little brew. Worth trying if you see it.
