Dark dark brown, almost black in color with a light brown head. Head leaves small bubbles around rim of glass. Smells are boozy, roasted and bitter. Tastes is bittersuite with a nice roastiness. Booze a bit prevelant in this flavor wise, not a bother but think it would have been if masked a little more. Feel is smooth and velvety. Good but has potential to be much better. Just misses the mark somehow to be great.

Beer poured from bottle into a Snifter shaped glass
A - Beer pours with a dark colored body, motor oil in appearance; small tan head formed, less than one finger in size; not much lacing stuck around the glass; tar look
S - Really dark chocolate; moldy yeast nose; moldy cheese, like a mascarpone; ricotta; back-end has a dark burnt malt nose; sherry; no hops to this beer at all
T - Dark coffee, espresso favor; slight liquor based flavor, followed up with a yeasty chocolate taste; figs and sweet prunes
M - Medium body; not much of an aftertaste; lingering coffee aftertaste; touch of coffee flavored ice cream coffee; no carbonation what so ever
D - Alright; not sure where they were going with the yeast and moldy cheese taste; its a stout, what more could you want besides smooth burnt malt flavoring? I think the moldiness could have better served with a Gueuze or or other light roasted ale
