This tastes exactly like grapefruit, from the slightly sweet start to the bitter peel finish. Actually it's a rather mellow grapefruit experience, compared to, say, the bitter blast from a place like Stone.
Slightly hazed light amber color poured in the Peroni lager glass. Robust foam and pleasing sudsy mouthfeel. Tangy, slightly tart, not too sweet but has a decent dose of malt. The appeal is that sprightly character with the big fresh hop taste.
Brewed by Hale's with unspecified Pacific Northwest hops. From the 22 oz bottle bought at Skagit Valley Food Coop in Mount Vernon for a nice price. The 40th Anniversary of the Co-op.

22oz. bottle into a standard pint glass.... Cloudy orange with very small white head with okay retention/lacing... very thick in the pour/mouthfeel but easy drinking.... piney/grapefruit juice taste dominate... just another middle of the road IPA.
