Cask into Svijany pint glass in Berlin, Germany. Reviewed from notes.
A: Clear gold with one finger head of nice cream and surprisingly good retention for its ABV.
Sm: Fresh scent of barley and yeast.
T: Creamy open to well built body of barley. Very clean. Ought to be bolder, but excellent for a cask ale.
Mf: Smack-your-lips finish. Very heavy, but adequate for the style and ABV. Adequately coarse.
Dr: Hides its ABV well. Slides down a bit too easily. Careful with this one lads.

On-tap at Baráčnická Rychta, Prague, Czech Republic
A: The beer is crystal clear golden yellow in color and poured with a two finger high bright white head that slowly died down but never completely faded away. A light amount of carbonation is visible.
S: There are light to moderate aromas of bready malts in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste is very malty and has bready flavors along with some hints of corn.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
D: The beer has an average amount of drinkability--it isn't quite as crisp and refreshing compared to other pilsners.

Wow! What a difference there is between the bottled version of this beer and it's on tap version. I couldn't believe it was the same beer! The taste is slightly hoppy, with a thick, almost creamy but clear feel. There is also a hint of sweetness which adds nicely to the beer. A thick foam head lasts for much of the drinking and leaves a nice coating of foam trails along the sides of the glass. Delicious!

Poured from bottle, good head and clouded yellow in colour. A flat out putrid aroma. Next to nothing in the way of texture. Simply seems watered down. Mouthfeel is unoffensive - because goes unnoticed. Some flavour peaked as it warmed, but severely lacked both hop and malt character. I think overall it just lacked three of the four ingredients, you figure which one it had enough of.

Aggressively carbonated, well hopped Bohemian thanks to Jan Biergaman bringing back from the Czech Republic. Cheesy scent, sight of light colour and some head and lace and bubble. I wouldn't seek it out again yet gives me range of what's available in Europe.
