Bought at a Supermarket in Olomouc (Moravia, Czech Republic). 0,5 bottle poured into a glass
-Light pale colour. Leaves lots of foam traces but the had itself Fades away fairly quickly.
-Herb/wooden smell. Usual for Czech beer
-Bitter but not any particular taste.
-The feel is fresh

I would describe it as a below average beer for Czech Republic.

Finished up the day in Plzen with my daughter, Caitlin, with a 0.5l glass of this nice pale lager. Cost 20Kc, about $1.05, at a small, homey, un-named pub in the train station area (actually Hospoda U Hamburku).

Came out medium golden, and clear, with intermittant carbo rising within. Head was creamy and white, steadying at 1/4" for the duration, and leaving a trail of foam all down the sides of the glass. Has a grassy nose, a little toasty malt, but mostly sharp hops. Body is a good medium, and it passes fairly well on the tongue.

Kicks off with some light, crackery malt and a touch of sweetness, in a Märzen sort of way. Hops come in, stronger than the malt. Grassy and hayish, though never overly bitter. Has a spicy, Saaz-like bite at the finish. Quite pleasant! The best bier I had on our 1-day sojourn into Plzen.

Prosit!!
