Poured from 500mL can into a kitchen glass. Can is dated 6/14/24 … not sure if that’s canned-on or best-by, but since this is the EU, I’m guessing the latter. So, maybe past its prime, but also not a style I’m super worried about.
Appearance: rich golden hue with a clear body and a light effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: moderately sweet malt with a few caramel notes and a hint of hops. Not too bad.
Taste: like the aroma, malt is a bit sweet, but there’s a nicely balancing hop factor here. The bitterness does a good job balancing, without being over the top. It’s a bit sweet and maybe a bit boozy, but not too bad for a “strong” pilsner.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess. Kinda nice!
Overall: not mega drinkable, but I’m enjoying this beer well enough. As I continue to sip, the boozines does start to come out a bit.

Pours a clear amber with fluffy head.
Smell is bready and slightly sweet and floral. Notes of knäckebröd, toast, rye and a hint of butter.
Taste is rich, bready and a bit sweet. Moderate bitterness with notes of knäckebröd, toast, rye citrus and some butter. Slightly floral on the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft, smooth and well carbonated.
Overall, an outstanding Czech lager, packed with flavor.

Bought at a supermarket in Olomouc (Moravia, Czech Republic). 0,5 l bottle poured into a glass.
-Transparent/amber color. Translucid. 5 mm foam head. Leaves a lot of foam traces.
-Freshness can be smelt and some bitterness.
-The taste is smooth and nice. Full bodied but not heavy.
-Aftertaste leaves pear notes. Besides, some bitterness. Quite a lot, after a While.
I like it very much! I Recommend it

Interesting beer, with a very dense neobochnym taste of beer for one person is very satisfying, 6.5% of alcohol, but very easy to drink, I think that there should be another wine to complete the sensation !!!

Picked up in Prague, reviewing in Tel Aviv.
Again as usual with most of the Czech beers, a big cream 2+ finger head that fades pretty much never, nice retention, very thick and frothy with tons of lacing when it finally tries to fade, a few bubbles streaming up through the crystal clear tan straw colored beer.
NOse brings nice straw pilsner aromas, toasty, cracked wheat, little grainy and touch bready, with nice overall Czech pilsner style malts, hint of a fruity like lager, and decent grassy slightly fruity hop profile.
Taste is similar, this time the hops seem to come out front, more fresh like hops, leafy style almost like chewing on hop leaves, little resin and oily fresh, but mostly grassy slight spicy hop flavors. Then malts, med sweetness with light toasty pilsner malts, little grainy grassy malt profile, nice base malt feel. Then into mild fruity lager profile, decent lager flavors, litle crisp, etc. The bitterness ramps like crazy the longer it goes, and gets very bitter, borderline astringent on the finish, quite dry as well, very grassy, leafy, spicy, and a bit oily for hops, touch of a fruity flavor from the hops and lager I think.
Mouth is med bod, nice fluffy carb.
Overall quite nice, huge hoppy kick between the grassy fruity spicy hops, and quickly ramping bitterness, decent malty balance with that, nice body, and the head on this thing is amazing. Probably the best bottled beer I've had yet from Prague, and on par with most of the beers I had on tap there. Very nice!

A - pure gold and yellow
S - smells like bit hoppy and like a yeast with very little fruity tones
T - pretty hoppy, but with some acid end, however, little taste of yeast and alcohol is well hidden.
M - well balanced carbonation with nice mouthfeel
D - pretty drinkable. Seems like the more you drink the more you want. All the defects it has on the first look.

Got a bottle of Baron from a friend who picked it up in the Czech Republic. It poured in a good golden color with good foam. A rich smell with notes of bread, herbs, fruit, citrus and wet dishrag. The taste was a good blend between a sweetness and a bitterness, and perhaps the pronounced fruitiness of the beer qualifies it more as a Vienna lager competing with Starobrno's Baron Trenck (both at ABV 6.5%)? I'll take a case of it anytime.
