Well, this bottle has survived two different plane trips (Latvia-UK, where I got it from a friend in Brighton, and then UK-US), plus a few months unintentional ageing at home.
Straw yellow with a very tiny haze, there's good head retention and some lacing. Aroma is a little grassy. The taste is well balanced with a moderate burst of hops at the finish, a bit more than I would expect from a UK-brewed beer of this style in fact. There is a residual sweetness which I find pleasant and balancing. Very drinkable.
A great stab at a British style. This would be awesome on cask!

A friend brought this back from Latvia. As I understand it, it is their only beer made with a top-fermenting yeast.
Appearance was light golden and clear. Smell was lightly hopped and slightly yeasty.
Taste was also lightly hopped, but dominated by the malt and especially the yeast. Very interesting. As far as drinkability, I would gladly sit and toss a few of these back. A very interesting beer. Although I'm sure that it will be a long time before I get to have another one of these again.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
