An ode to the classic Moscow Mule, our Copper Donkey is a sweet malt flavored Ale with ginger and notes of lime and lemon from Equinox hops. This refreshingly light winter beer has a palatable 8% ABV.

Pours a darker amber color with an off-white head that turns to lacing. Aroma is sweet, spice & citrus with aged malt. It has a smooth & mild taste and tastes a little stronger than 8%, This bottle is at least 6 years old, very good.

An interesting brew. Malty, creamy, and earthy hop profile.

22 oz bottle. No bottling date info
Pours a hazy copper body with a smallish white head with an equally small amount of retention and lacing
Smell is not very prominent. Sweet malt, faint ginger, some citrus. This sounds weird but the overall scent reminds me of the scent of a drier sheet while the drier is going.
Taste is malty, somewhat sweet , very little bitterness. the ginger comes out in the finish.
Medium, almost silky feel
Not bad. The alcohol is masked. I would guess that the infusion of ginger contributes to this.

22 ounce bottle poured into a No-Li pint glass. Nice reddish amber color, with a light tan head. Not a lot of spiced flavor to me, but a nice beer from a local brewery.

Bottle from Winco. Nice deep copper body with silky, bubbly head. Aroma recalls fresh hop IPAs, taste adds the ginger and citrus elements, which blend nicely with hops for a snappy, spicy flavor. I really liked this, and its not too far removed from the atypical NW IPA.

Attractive pale reddish amber brew with adequate foam in the Wander Brewing snifter.A tang of citrus along with some kind of spicy aromatics. Slightly sweet on the palate but light bodied.
Malty but I wouldn't call it rich, or strong, even with the higher alcohol. Not much spice flavor, though a faint warmth from thee ginger arrives eventually along with something gingery in the background. Hops are Equinox with the usual piney edge and a lime peel finish.
Another tasty beer from No-Li. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at The Market in Anacortes.
