Brewed exclusively for the Longhorn Barbecue (N 2315 Argonne Rd, Spokane, WA). Served in a pint glass.
Pours a dark amber red color and is clear. Off-white head is moderately resilient, leaving some lacing on the side of the glass.
Smell is faint, compared to the barbecue smokey aroma of the establishment, but there is a floral grain scent, and perhaps some smoke.
Taste is malty, with a bitter molasses finish, and a mild bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is smooth, moderately carbonated and light.
A drinkable ale that pairs nicely with the barbecued meats served in the restaurant. Recommend both the beer and the food.
