I stop in here once or twice a year as I'm passing through and have enjoyed the environment, atmosphere, service, and selections of food and beer.

But today I was greatly disappoint when I stopped by. They no longer brew their own beer here and in fact have had all the brewing equipment removed.

Now on tap is some Santa Fe Brewing beers as well as a few random offerings.

Still friendly service and good beers, they're just not brewed here.

So for now this place needs to be removed from the breweries list.

Stopped in at the SSBC for a quick taste on the way from Albuquerque to Ruidoso and it was an excellent stop! Very easy to get to, right off of Highway 25. Service was great and our server was incredibly friendly and very understanding of our incessant questions and beer nerdery. The atmosphere was great- awesome adobe structure and very warm/inviting on the inside. Big open kitchen adjacent to dining room was flooded with the overwhelming aroma of fresh baked pizza and it was great to be able to see the cooks slingin pizza dough!

Unfortunately, we weren't stopping for food, just a taster of their brews (only $8 for 6 healthy taster glasses of their draughts). But, after seeing and smelling the intoxicating pizzas, we will definitely be stopping for food AND beer next time! All of the menu items (pizzas, calzones, burgers, sandwiches, pastas) were incredibly well priced with most items under $10. Everything we saw on adjacent tables looked outrageously tasty.

The beers were great and I am happy I picked up the sampler. It included their Heynekamp Dutch Lager, Pumpkin Patch Pale Ale, Station 1 Red Lager, Pick Axe IPA, Oso Negro Black Lager, and the Park City Porter. Of those, my favorites were the Red Lager, IPA, and Black Lager. Ill review the beers shortly!

If you are in the neighborhood, Socorro Springs Brewing Company is well worth the stop! Cheers!

My job causes me to spend several weeks a year living at the Best Western that's next door to this place, and as such I've had everything on the menu at this place, I believe.

Considering that the restaurant is in Socorro, New Mexico, their selection and quality of food are really pretty incredible. The menu tends to not change very much, but they're good with the dishes that they make, and their rotating list of soups are killer; if you get the chance, try some of the different bisques they come up with.

Pizzas are also a staple here, and they're pretty typical of most smaller independent pizza places. Good selections of toppings, smaller portions, but still pretty good all in all.

I'd recommend getting the burger with swiss, bacon and green chile, with a cup of soup on the side. That's what I typically order my first night back in town. All in all, a decent establishment, they do some pretty good brews once in awhile, and are probably the best game in town. Get a growler to go!

Kind of an interesting place. Looks new and nice. Very clean. Had an upscale restaurant feel. Not much seating at the small (but very high) bar.

Beer selection seemed what I'd expect, the standards with a couple of stand outs. I just stuck with a Porter and Stout, both were nice. Wish I had tried a sampler.

Food seems to be a strong point. Great wood oven pizza's, but the menu was much more expansive.

Don't know about the Saturday night music...

Was a nice stop. Another one I'll stop at if going that way.

Socorro Springs new building on California St. has a nice atmosphere with pleasant dining areas and a nice-looking bar. The bar tables are used as restaurant tables, so you can't really just go in and sit down. You have to be seated first, unless you are sitting at the bar. Their beer is generally average to good with some clearly better than others. Highlights include their Pickaxe IPA and Station 1 Red Lager. Their beer menu rotates, and they have several other beers including a porter that are worth trying. The last time I had their light Dutch Lager it tasted like their lines may not have been clean. I haven't noticed this in other beers, so it may have been an isolated incident. Their service and food are both good.
