A rep from the brewery let me try this and the Bufadora. It had a nice amber color typical of a Marzen. The styles were a little odd coming from Mexico but the rep explained that the family went to Germany, fell in love with the beers there and brought back a German brew master to make these styles in Mexico. Had a fruity smell to it, which is unusual for a Marzen. The taste was even farther from the style. I was not bad but it was very much like cantaloupe with hardly any caramel malts or hop balance. It was not overly sweet, which was good but I should not have been labeled a Marzen to me, almost designate it a fruit beer or amber lager.
