Kunstmann seems to be one of the better-known breweries in Chile. Torobayo is good, and easy to find, but Gran Torobayo is a special treat. Comes in a textured bottle with a ceramic stopper (like Grolsch). Lovely bold amber red, fizzy head dissipates quickly but leaves interesting lacing. Smells like bread and pennies. Tastes malty but retains a nice crispness, almost a coating / slightly oily mouthfeel that resolves in a bold bitter finish. As it warms more raisin and dried fruit comes out. Chilean wine is rightfully recognized. But if you make it here, do not miss Chilean beer—and this is one of the best.

500 ml flip top bottle
Pour a a medium brown in color, thick tan colored head. Big rich malt aroma, bready, mild caramel, a touch of dark fruit. Taste is similar , but not too sweet. Nice depth of flavor. Medium bodied, smooth carbonation

Bought in a bottlestore in Santiago, Chile.500mL bottle, with German style swing top
L - darm amber, almost burgundy. biege cream head, about 1cm thick
S - strong caramel malt, hint of honey, Brown sugar, slightly burnt
T - heavily malt dominated. yeasty, very sweet upfront with a molasses like flavour, slightly sour finish
F - low carbonation, full bodied, chewy texture, warming ABV
O - very sweet upfront, but a nice change to the bland lagers ive had here. Good if paired with a meal.
