This may well be Switzerland's best Pilsner. It pours light yellow, has a semi-persistent head with no lacing. Very drinkable with a great taste and smell. Falken is a great example of a true Pilsner the way it is meant to be. As with most Pilsners, it is best on tap in its home city of Schaffhausen, Switzerland.

From my notes 6/8/07 - Pours a two-finger white head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Crystal clear amber color. Skunky nose. Good carbonation and light bodied. Flavor is hoppy like a Heineken only fresher, lingering bitter aftertaste. Best by Nov 2007. S.FR.3.85 ($3.13) for a 330ml green bottle from Schlössli Snack near Lucerne, Switzerland.

Purchased in can at COOP in Chur, Switzerland. Poured a clear yellow, with fizzy head.Hop Nose and flavor of that and light malts.. While the nose and flavors were good, overall the beer is too light and watery for my taste. Quite bit of carbonation and the mouthfeel is fizzy. Should appeal to people who like their beer light as my Swiss hosts did.
