Can from the brewery. Served in a Cantillon tulip.
A - Big lightly tanned foam settles to a thick, chunky cap and splotchy lacing. Dark amber body that was kind of surprising for a 'pale ale'; nice color though.
S - Grassy hops and bready malts; pretty malt-forward, but not overly sweet although that ramps up as it warms lending a bit of crystalline sugar.
T - Taste is pretty similar with herbal and grassy hops and lightly toffeed, bready malts. Surprisingly high bitterness considering the can lists only 35 IBU. Pretty 'English' in character.
M - Zesty carbonation that seems contrary to the flavor profile. Grainy, medium-light body, with a finish filled with lingering hop oils.
D - Easy drinking, but not very exciting. Not sure how this is supposed to improve Yelp ratings that the related establishments involved.
