reviewed form notes, served on tap
A hazed orange colour, ring of white head and good lace on the glass. Smell is of intense fruit, hoppy, guava, mango and orange, very faint malt presence as well. Taste starts out with big fruity hop flavour, loads of tropical fruit, pineapple, mango and guava with a drying orange aftertaste. Lightly carbonated, medium body, oily and slick. Another solid hoppy offering from GLB.

473ml can into nonic pint at tallboys craft beer house, toronto, nov 15 2015. "10/08/15" on the bottom of the can
a: hazy light orange with almost-white head
s: has that grapefruit-passionfruit-tangerine-pineapple-orange hop profile like their other IPAs, but not as potent. huge pine as well. sweet bread and caramel are somewhere under there
t: follows the nose, quite fruity with tons of pine flavour. tasty bready malt exists lightly on the back-end, which is then followed by a high bitterness
m: medium-minus body with moderate carbonation and a crazy drying feeling
o: maniacal hopping indeed. good stuff!

A full pint on tap at Rib Eye Jack's in Burlington.
Appearance - pours a mostly clear shimmering golden color with some orange and amber hues. A fine finger and change of rocky white head was poured and impressive staying power too. Carbonation looks rather lively for an IPA.
Smell - another tropical wallop with orange, pineapple, papaya, grapefruit and a bit of mango.
Taste - similar to the nose with the sweeter fruits (mango and pineapple) being hidden and a more pronounced bitterness in effect. Aftertaste is bitter and resinous tasting.
Mouthfeel - very well carbonated giving a prickly sensation on the tongue and in the mouth. Body is moderate and fitting for a well hopped IPA.
Overall - it's not the best IPA I've had from these guys but it's quite solid and bitterness is ramped up to 10. Went nicely with duck tacos and their smokey mild wings.

Can from brewery, 5 days from canning.
Golden with a thick creamy head that dissipates slowly. Strong pine aromas dominate. Pine, pineapple, mango with a mild malty sweetness. Medium body. Another strong IPA from Great Lakes.

New IPA from Great Lakes, featuring the Equinox hop. I don't think I have encountered this hop much before. It reminds me of Mosaic- lots of tropical fruit flavours, though mixed with pine. Malt body is fairly bold, caramel flavours jumping out. Not GLB's best IPA but a welcome addition to a great lineup.
