1000th review - hurrah!
Great Lakes Brewery x Amsterdam Brewery collaboration called 'Southern Hemisphere'.
Appearance - Pours a medium amber with three fingers of dense, foamy white head.
Smell - Citrus hops, citrus fruit, tropical fruit including mango, pineapple, and passionfruit, bready malts, caramel, earthy yeast.
Taste - Very palatable level of hop flavour and bitterness, and well balanced with the malts. The tropical and citrus fruit flavours are tangy and refreshing.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A touch of stickiness and finishes with the tropical/citrus fruits.
Overall - Another winner from the folks at Great Lakes and Amsterdam. This year's collab displays the Pacifica hops from New Zealand in an honourable and delicious way.
