To begin with, this is supposed to be a Farmhouse Ale, but that category was not available to add for Great Lakes Brewery. Weird.
Another collaboration between Amsterdam and Great Lakes, this is another spin on Ezra, the much maligned dog.
The best part about this beer is that first sniff and first taste. Great! After that, the cracks show and quickly. Thus far, I must say that Canadians have little clue as to how to make a proper Saison. Here they add cider barrels, which will give you acid re-flux and a bit of funk. Otherwise this is watery mess that lacks the herbal notes necessary for this style.
Try once and move on.
