Get ready for a flavour BURST! with this 4.5% New England Pale Ale. The hazy light golden liquid flows beautifully into your GLB glass and produces a tight white crown. Predominant notes of mango propel forward and are quickly joined by strawberry, peach and a touch of lemon. Subtle sweetness makes an appearance too. The soft mouthfeel provides a creamy texture. Juicy. Again, back to mango and strawberry with honeydew melon tagging along on the hop rocket. Really bright on the palate, like drinking a fresh fruit salad... if that's a thing.
Our planet, under threat by unseen enemies like bland tasting beer, is once again saved by the hop rockets of our unsung hero.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. Canned March 3/25. My 25th beer from the Etobicoke, Ontario brewery, and 8th for 2026. Lovingly embraced by Gracie the cat...

Got this from the LCBO
From a 473ml can into a pint glass
New England Pale Ale

APPEARANCE: Pours a two finger, medium looking, fluffy white head with great retention. Cloudy amber orange in color with no carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a foamy cap and leaves some foamy lacing down the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Tropical fruits, pineapple, passion fruit, mango notes and some honeydew melon on the nose. Bolder and enticing.
TASTE: Tropical fruits up front with passion fruit and pineapple for sure. A hint of bitterness at the swallow. Medium finish of tropical fruits, pineapple and passion fruit, caramel and bubble gum sweetness, as well as a touch of bitterness lingers on the palate. Solid stuff.
PALATE: Medium-lighter body and medium levels of carbonation. Foamier on the palate, goes down fine and finishes a touch dry. A little lack luster here.
OVERALL: Good lower ABV New England style brew. Love the idea and the aroma and flavor worked out really well. Unfortunately the execution on the feel was lacking. Still, worth checking out another batch because this would be a worth addition to the regular lineup. Cheers!

Agree with pretty much everyone that this feels like a session IPA. Like many ‘NE’ styles, feels like it borders towards IPA over APA, but it’s still good.
Low ABV, you might expect a lighter body, and indeed for the level of cloudiness and unfiltered nature it’s a lot lighter than you’d think. A lot of the body likely comes from the addition of the oats. It’s definitely got a lot of the good aspects of an APA and an IPA, but it’s a lighter body, session version of both. Typical flavours, enjoyable hops, citrus fruits, pale malts. I had a particularly great session beer yesterday that was ranked much lower than this, and I was a little more impressed. I should probably try to vary my styles up so I’m a little less biased but I wish it had a little more punch here. It is named BURST, after all! Still a great session beer.

Poured from a 473ml can. Canned on 08/26/2020
I would place this beer as a Session NEIPA. An eazy drinking IPA somewhat lacking the full body and flavor of others out there.

Pours hazy gold with a billowing, chunky head that lasts the whole glass. The aroma is full of tropical fruit with a light, cracker-like maltiness. Lots of mango, lemon, pineapple, blueberry hop notes in the taste, very complex and juicy. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with light carbonation. Medium bitterness and more juicy tropical hop notes in the long finish.
A fantastic New England Pale Ale, all the good stuff you'd expect from the style.

Look: Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a 1 finger white head. The head dissipates after 5 minutes leaving a slight ring of lace around the top of the glass.
Smell: Grapefruit dominates, with some citrus (orange and lemon)
Taste: Very delicate on the front end, the middle opens up to some light grapefruit and melon like flavours. The beer ends with an earthy dry finish. Light wisps of wheat are notable through the middle and end of each drink.
Feel: Soft and silky. Light bodied, with a slight hint of carbonation. Plays mostly on the bottom of the mouth and the back of the tongue.
A pleasent enough summer sipper, everything about this beer is soft and delicate. This beer earns a B+
