On tap at Volo, Great Lakes/Mike Lackey feature. Into a wine glass. Can't say I've ever had a wild ale before, so here we go. One of the ladies from Great Lakes indicated that this was still very young and needed time to develop. Curious to see what this will turn into.
Poured a murky red/dark orange with no lace and no retention. Nose has a bunch of raspberry, light funkiness, some cherry and yeastiness. Sweet fruitiness throughout though, with a slight sense of the sourness underneath it. Taste is tart cherry and raspberry, mild funkiness found as well. Bites the cheek. Mouthfeel is moderate and fairly tart, but not puckeringly sour. Would've been better suited to a warmer summer evening, but I'm curious to see what this is like when they re-release it.

On tap at Volo. Despite the brewers saying it needs some work, this was a "transition lambic" with raspberry and sour berry aromas. Mouthfeel surprisingly good with lots of malting. Above average mouthfeel. I want more pure raspberry taste and preferably more sourness.Look forward to having again "when its ready".
