Bottle: Poured a super light yellow color ale with a medium pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of wheat malt with intense citrus notes is quite unique. Taste is also dominated by light wheat malt notes with some quite intense citrus notes. Body is super light with good carbonation. Not bad though not something I would drink on a regular basis.

On tap at Volo

Hazy golden orange colour, ring of white head, not much lace or retention here. Smell is citrusy, lotys of orange peel, lemony notes, spices, coriander, bready malt, yeasty scents as well. Taste is full of orange and citrus, spices followed by a smooth bready malt, yeasty finish, fairly hoppy leaving a good bitterness, long orange finsish that lasts into the aftertaste followed by spice, dry as well. Medium carboantion that is quite active, medium body, really good weight. Leave it to Great Lakes to do a style I dont typicaly like and make me enjoy the hell out of it, solid stuff here, would have never guessed 6.1 as abv, could knock back several of these no problem.

Pint at The Only. Hazed golden, almost fresh squeezed apple juice like; little head, just a collar.

Nose has some pleasant esters, zesty citrus, bit of breadiness. Flavor is full and ripe, high hop presence for the style which adds a drying bitterness in the finish, lemon rind and citrus zest, hint of spices, quite a hefty bready malt base, some alcohol, not as drinkable as a summer quaff but full flavored and pleasant. Zippy carb to style. Really nice offering.

On draught at the Rhino, Fall Pumpkin Ale Festival.

Poured a pale yellow with some light golden orange highlights within. Unfilitered body with a light ring of head. Nose is bright and floral, wheaty with a touch of spice. Some coriander. Yeasty and really inviting. Taste is yeasty, almost gritty and drying initially, hints of orange with some nice and pleasant spicing akin to the nose. Light mouthfeel with a high, zippy carbonation. Drying and yeasty, this finishes as it began. A nice wit, at this time of the year and in general. Would've been nice to have seen this earlier in the summer.

Bomber purchased at brewery during July Project X. Play on name, as Ernie Witt was a popular local baseball player here. Fresh yeasty and wheat aroma in a big soapy white head. A little funky, a somewhat dry yeasty beer that with its edge is very drinkable and grows on me. Good by itself without food. Very refreshing. Smooth.
