Project X bomber from the brewery, 650ml into a tulip. Rated at 65 IBUs.
Poured a hazy golden orange, with a few fingers of a nice white head. Sticky white lace and mild retention. Nose has some chewy citrus and pine, lots of orange, tangerine and some sweeter malt notes held at bay by a load of hops. Taste has some mango, pineapple and other tropical fruits, some pine and evergreen. Light cedar, which reminds me a bit of some Red Racer. Sweet, and somewhat sugary malt profile. Bitter finish that's not too dry, but this hop profile is so rich, round and full of fruit notes that I dig - I keep pulling this back faster than I probably should. Medium full feel, and easy to put back at this ABV. Quite good, Lackey keeps pumping out solid IPAs on the regular.
