On-tap at Volo during Zwanze. Happy to have this again- I have fond memories of it from Cask Days 2011.
Smell is great - citrus fruit and funk. Lots of tropical fruit scents with sweet aramel malt underneath. Really lovely.
Taste is nice, but nowhere near the nose. Brett tastes dry and powdery. Funky but only a bit sour. Hops are there, bringing some citrus and tropical fruit, but hard to distinguish the fruit through the Brett. Dry and bitter.
Medium bodied, moderately carbonated. Dry.
Overall, quite good. I hope GLB continues to redo this one.

Poured murky brown/orange, bubbly cask head, no lacing. Smell is quite hoppy, lots of citrus, tropical fruit, funky notes, lightly musty brett presence. Taste is full of citrus initially that leads into funky and lightly tart notes, good bitterness throughout, grapefruit and mango aftertaste. Light-med carbonation, decent feel, good overall weight, drying in the finish. Not a bad brew here, I hope to see this make another apearance at some point down the road.

On cask at Volo's Cask Days 2011, 7.0ABV and 70 IBUs.
Poured a brownish bright orange, with some moderate bubbles that falls to a collar. Bright tropical fruits, mango, pineapple and maybe a bit of banana? Bretty funk becomes more apparent one further sniffs, hidden far beneath the hop profile but that's certainly not a bad thing. Taste has some citrus rind and tropical fruits again, brett is more apparent at the end of the sip. Quite bitter and lightly funky, resinous and juicy hops. Powerful bitter finish. Medium mouthfeel and a modest cask carbonation, stands in nice contrast to the bitterness. Quite nice, I could see this being excellent if kegged or bottle-conditioned.

Cask Days 2011. Another great beer, and name. Very hoppy, and only mildly Bretty. But a little brett is all that counts. Wonder what happens if they turn up the brett and make a DIPA version. Fruity taste highlights, yes pineapple. Smooth mouthfeel. Very good drinkability.
