Project X bottle from the brewery, 18IBU's. Into a tulip.

Poured a burgundy/brown, unfiltered it appears - some ruby hues around the edges. Cream coloured head, with low carbonation. Not a lot of head is produced, and a collar is really all that is retained. Nose has some dry dark fruits, dark malt and breadiness. A bit of grape juice and light spicing. Taste has some dark fruits - plum, grapes and raisins, but these are fairly watered down in flavour. Dark bread again, lightly toasty malts and some earthiness, a bit of a 'green flavour' (maybe the hops?). Gentle spicing and a bit of alcohol at the end. Light feel and low carbonation as anticipated from the appearance. Easy to consume, but average in terms of a Belgian dubbel, which ends up coming across as more of a plain Belgian dark ale.
