surprisingly good sour. Maybe the extra month in the bottle made a good difference. Funky aroma, lemony sour citrus taste, with secondary pineapple and brett. Liked it. Palate attacker. I would have this again, and welcome Great Lakes adventure into this style.

On tap at volo, reviewed form notes. Was going to add this but had no idea what to classify this as. Thanks for doing to the dirty work liam!
Pale orangey copper colour, ring of white head, some lace left behind. Smell is malty, with some definite funk, light acidity, some fruits as well as bread like qualities. Taste is malty and tart, some earthy/grassy flavours, mild sourness throughout, lemon as well. Medium carbonation, med feel, good weight overall. Not a bad sour though a lot less sour than I expected it to be, didn't get much pine nut either, would welcome this again though.

Bottle from Project X, 22oz into a tulip, 10 IBUs. A sour mash brew with pine nuts added, not really sure how to classify this one in terms of style, but certainly had some characteristics that brought some vague gueuze/unblended lambic suggestions to mind, although this is FAR from it.
Lightly hazy golden orange with a white head that dissipates quickly, nothing remains but a think ring of head. Nose is lightly tart with some sour apple and light acetic and lactic notes. Pinenut is just noticeable but not outstanding, some herbal and grassy notes with a bit of sour bread. Interesting vegetal and slightly funky notes. Taste has more acetic acid, bread and graininess, lemon and pine nut can still be identified in some capacity. Dry finish with a very subtle sweetness, maybe some hopping that's earthy in quality. High carbonation with a bit of a bite. Sourness isn't overpowering by any degree but is fairly abrasive in it's approach. A nice little sour, nothing complex, but something I would've rather seen in the middle of the summer instead.
