Bottle from the brewery, thanks to Lackey for pulling this one out for me. Cheers! 650ml into a tulip. 70 IBUs.
Black body with a pretty big tan head. Solid lacing and light film of retention. Nose has some smoke, roast, saltiness (?) and lots of hops - piney and tropical. More hop flvaours on the palate, tropical with lightly roasty and toasty malts. Belgian yeast flavours are there, bitter hoppy finish with some sweet malt flavours underneath. Medium body and a ton of stuff going on in this beer. Interesting, although I don't know what the lactose is contributing here (sweetness?). Good stuff.
