On cask at Cask Days 2012, into a pint glass.
Black body, mild deep red clarity at the edges. Dark brown bubbles that stick around for quite a bit. Nose has leafy, herbal and citrus hopping. Resinous, with dark chocolate, light roast. Taste is hoppy again, tropical and citrus qualities, caramel, dark chocolate, molasses, light tar. Bitter finish that lingers. Full feel, low carbonation with alcohol coming in late in the feel. Not amazing for what I like in the style but intriguing nonetheless. A big sipper.
