Near black in colour, tan head, little bits of lace as well. Smell is full on roasted malts, with an equally big citrus and pine presence, some chcolate, grapefruit and orange. Taste is like the nose with a big roasty presence up front, lots of bitter hops, citrus dominates with some pine as well, lots of fruit flavours leading to the finish, roasty aftertaste as well. Lightly carbonated with a nice dry feel, medium weight, great feel for a hoppy cask ale. This was really nice on cask and I assume this would be even better on tap, something to order again if it ever comes back.

Cask Days 2012, the clear winner for me and one of the best casks I have enjoyed. Citrus and very substantive and good roasting both at their peak performance. Very dry, with coco powder, but also very drinkable. Black with some bubbly head. A little in your face mouthfeel.
