Dark brown color with a light foam head. The nose is one of coffee. Creamy attack and mouthfeel. The flavor seems to come across in this smooth and creamy manner as well. The finish is clean with not much on the palate. Very light and clean for a porter. Its pretty mild as far as porters go for that matter. I certainly believed it to be unique, or at least out of the ordinary for its beer type. Worth a try. Just smooth and malty, not much more to say.

Imperial pint pour at the brewpub. Spider-web head. Body was opaque black/brown.

Smell was of toasty malts.

Taste was coffee-like with roasted malts and a distinct hoppy tartness. Rich but far from cloying or over-filling. Highly drinkable.

Mouthfeel was smooth and medium in carbonation (more than expected). I will return to this one.
