La Brasserie du Scala

This brewpub isn't located in the central area of Strasbourg, and I only heard about it a few days ago. It is a restaurant and a theater on the first floor. The brewing facility is shown behind an elegant window. A large room, with nice beer signs everywhere. Still kind of elegant. They have 4 different beers on tap, up to 6 when they brew their seasonals. The staff was kind of annoying: the waitress wasn't really welcoming, and the waiter was too welcoming: he was just telling everybody about his life, which wasn't interesting. They have some tables with taps were you can get your own keg, which I found very cool. A nice and slightly muffled atmosphere.

The beers are quite good, very smooth and enjoyable. Prices are decent. You can buy beers and glasses to go, but they only had one beer at the time I went there. They also seem to have bottled beers that aren't from them, but their menu didn't mention them (I saw the bottles behind the bar). The tarte flambee we had wa decent too, served warm, and tasty. I'll go there again. A better staff would just make this place a great spot.
