The first beer tasted, by half-pint, at the Land of Liberty's Easter Beerfest., 13/04/06. Gravity-dispensed from the cellar, and the beer's abv. is now 4.0%.
A: extremely clear, dark tawny hue, with a thin, off-white spongey beer head with great retention. Looking absolutely fresh and nice!
S: very light caramel maltiness laced with floral hops and hints of dark berries. Harmonious and hoppy.
T: smooth maltiness (biscuity) balanced with dryish hops and a floral taste... lingering, dryish bitter finish, with a little acidity left in the very end of tasting.
M&D: extremely fresh and smooth for a cask ale. It's at its prime for sure. All in all, this is a light-bodied, balanced, easy-drinking, dryish yet malty bitter. Especially in such great condition, one just couldn't resist having another pint~~

Pours a golden amber colour with a nice off-white head that quickly goes. Lacing is left in tiny beads.
Aroma is very fruity and estery, most notably of bananas, and also has a little gingery and spicy kick to accompany.
The taste is similar to the aroma - fruity, estery, hoppy, lemony, bananas and a delightful ginger tone. Unlike Badger's Blandford Fly the ginger taste of this beer is not so harsh, artificial and biting but more mellow, natural and smooth, like the taste you get with ginger biscuits.
Mouthfeel is very nice and I could definitely drink this in a session.
