Bought at the Itchen Valley Brewery's stall in Andover's Farmers Market. Bottle-conditioned in a 500ml slim brown bottle, BB 04/2009, served cool in a straight imperial pint glass.
A: pours a reddish amber hue with very good clarity for a RAIB; the off-white frothy head comes creamy and lasts pretty well, sitting on top of constant streams of tiny bubbles.
S: grapefruit-juice all over the place ("dried citrus" notes endowed by "First Gold hops", the label says), really hoppy and fruity, with a whiff of floral scent as well as a dusty hint. Less explicitly in the background is the milder aroma of longan-fruit like caramalts. Overall, well composed and integrated, as fresh as enticing but not very complex.
T: just like the aroma, the palate is filled with juicy citrus peels and then settles down to a rather chewy, dry, tart and zesty finish of hops, while a touch of lubricating pale malts manages to sneak through, but only just. Simple, but nice and dry-ish hoppy.
M&D: very fresh with a good level of carbonation on the palate, never OTT; the body is light-plus, matching the moderate flavour profile just well.

Pours a golden amber colour with an off-white head, creamy and lasts averagely. Beady lacing.
Estery nose, fruits like apple, plum and a good hoppy character.
Taste is hoppy, estery, malty lemony flavour, limes, and strawberries. The aftertaste is spicy cinnamon and nutmeg aftertaste.
I think the serving temperature was not great for springtime - would be better off slightly cooler I feel.
