Purchased in wine shop in Romsey, this is a new addition to the brewery’s bottle-conditioned line, I believe, as I’d never come across it in bottles before. This 500ml brown bottle comes at 4.5%abv., BB Aug. 2012, served cool in a straight imperial pint glass.
A: pours a very clear, russet brown hue with moderate carbonation and a thin beige frothy head to last.
S: lovely aroma of caramel and nutty-brown malts abounds, with sour-ish dried-berry & marinated prune-like fruitiness riding on the top; not too sweet, not very hoppy, just about balanced and enjoyable.
T: yeasty sour, toasted fruity, lightly salty, and semi-herbal bitter at the same time, the foretaste is quickly overtaken by a deeply dry, semi-toasty, nutty and brown-bready aftertaste with a decent level of hop bitterness, quite rich in body as well.
M&D: the carbonation is quite moderate and help retain a smooth yet still refreshing palate; all in all, this is a medium-bodied, balanced decent malty bitter to offer in a bottle.

Appearance: crystal clear reddish colored. Nice creamy head.
Smell: almost nothing here. Smoky aromas and.a bit of malt
Taste: watery bitter. Slight toasty flavors. Ever so slight british hops evident only at the finish.
Mouthfeel: no carb. Very watery and thin.
Drinkability: this one is just ok. I don't think I will have it again. .
