April 2006. On tap in Oranienburg. Pale golden colour, decent head. Herbal aromatic hops in the aroma. Flavour is relatively rich and malty for a German pilsener. Nice.

( 25/50, 5% alc/vol, Home, after a golf game) Clear, translucent golden yellow with a nice soft head of pearl bubbles that lace very nicely on the glass. Nice, slow-rising bubbles help maintain a nice disk on top. Yeasty malted nose and fruity aromas of banana strawberry shortcake, and pineapple crème brûlée. Not too strong, but nice for a pilsener. Very waterry beer, so it does feel good after a golf game. The creamy body brings with it flavours of acidic pineapple, strawberries and malted grain. Finish is rather dry and lemon-peel. There is no spice in this beer thoug, its all by-products. The mouth is Oh! so slightly tickleing on the tongue. The citric palate leaves nice flavours, but eventually a dry, acidic finish. Nice pilsener, refreshing and not filling. Could go quite well with a heavy german dinner, of bacon and sausage. A bit on the light side, it does tend to shy away from the palate.

The beer has an intense yellow color, clean and without carbonation. White foam, tiny but not overly compact.
The smell is not particularly fresh: on the basis of quite anonymous malt, engages the young and not particularly pleasant hops. Much better flavor, which prevails the bitter tasting of hops and a relative dryness. This is not the masterpiece some shouting, but overall a decent taste.
The finish tends to be quite dull with a slight bitterness of medium persistence and no much more.
To be an industrial Pils is definitely worse, but it is equally true that you can find the better Pils in Berlin.

Tall, dense, yellowish white head is fed by a swarm of tiny bubbles that rise through the glowing straw colored beer. Respectable aroma of grassy and pungent herbal hops. A lightly sweet pale malt base with with bits of rock sugar up front that are quickly swallowed by a mildly bitter earthy hop kick. Finishes quite bitter for a suck a delicate beer. A crisp and refreshing Pils that is quite nice.

Standard brown German half liter bottle with gold foil around the neck and a silver, gold and blue label featuring an average Burger happily holding a large mug of beer. Purity law applies, duh. Best before end of June 2004, I opened it on 5/9/04 to celebrate Victory Day (the day the Nazis surrendered to the Soviets - one day after they surrendered to the western powers - no wonder Stalin was so pissed. Anyway, I digress...)

Pours a slightly cloudy gold under a 2+ white head that lacks body or contour and quickly fades to thick foam. There are some spots of lace, but I expect more from a pils. The nose is nice - good flowery hops with a touch of metal. The mouth is light and prickly. The taste features a fairly solid sweet malty backbone that supports a good deal of flowery hops. There's just a hint of sour here, though, that makes me wonder what travails this bottle experienced on the road from Berlin to Moscow. Still drinkable, though. The nice tart hop bite in the finish leaves a crisp dry aftertaste that lingers nicely. A fresh bottle is probably quite good. Mine, though, was just slightly above average.

Golden colour, ever so slightly hazy, some lace, typical German pils aroma and taste, which means not too exciting. Not as good as i expected after liking their schwarzbier for so long, but i didn't think it was bad at all, just above average. At least they got the bitterness right, nice little session brew here.

A very nice brew, the appearance is impressive with a thick lingering foam that slowly leaves but clings to the entire glass...colour is very pale. Aroma is very crisp and clean. Body is not full but is close to it. The taste is definetly a product of the hops as the bitterness never quite leaves your pallate....
