A 500ml bottle with a BB of Sept 2018. Acquired a little while back from Morrisons as part of their beer festival. The label describes it as a pale ale brewed entirely with British ingredients (as the name implies). Includes maize in the malt bill.
A: Poured into a tulip pint glass. A very pale gold colour with crystal clarity and good carbonation. Forms a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a minute or so before collapsing to a patchy surface layer. Almost looks like a lager.
S: Aroma of pale malt with hints of mild grain, subtle stewed leaves, overdone veg, corn, slight green apple, faint pear and a twinge of solvent in the background. Not brilliant.
T: Tastes of pale malt with notes of subtle grain, husks, stewed leaves, overcooked veggies, corn/DMS, vague green apple and a hint of solvent. Pretty dry, followed by a crisp, restrained bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is light, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and and a thin, watery body. Aftertaste of stewed leaves/veg, husks, pale malt, corn and faint apple.
O: Meh - not particularly nice, especially as it warms. Looks OK, however the aroma and flavour are a sorry mix of very pale malt, stewed leaves, corn, cabbage water and unripe apple. Watery body. Unimpressive; I don't think I've had a bad beer from this brewery before but there's always a first time. Give it a miss.

Bottle. Very pale straw. Looks like it's watered down. Bubbly but with no head.
Light English hop smell. Mild orange pith.
Flavour is both earthy and stewed cardboard.
Light refreshing feel is the best I can say.
