First review and first Stout -
On draft at the brewpub. Initially a very firm dark bourbon barrel ale taste, then as the initial taste wears off, there is somewhat of a semi-sweet chocolate and even a hint of coffee tone to the aftertaste.
Pours thicker than most beers, more like a sugary coffee. Has a very opaque dark chocolate milk color to it with thin tan head.

Well done. Jet black in color. Slight off-white head. Roasted malt, caramel, toffee nose. Bitter roast finish. Caramel, toast, coffee notes. A little thin in the body. Overall well made.
