Late 1980s bottle (somewhere around 87/88) consumed 3/2017

Bubbly off white head. Copper amber color.

A lot of sherry and port notes. The cherries show a bit. No tart, sour, or acidic. Sweet. No funk. Port would be the best descriptor of this beer. Very fun to try.

Thanks for this awesome old treat!

Pours totally flat and thus was decanted.

Appearance: Maroon, brownish red. Very clear. Looks nice but definitely looks old

Smell: some funk on the nose, a bit of cherry still. Impressive

Taste: still a decent amount of cherry. Nice touch of tart as well. Very nice combination of flavours on such an old beer.

other than being totally flat this beer is really nice. aged so gracefully!
