Enjoyed on tap at the Waimea Brewing Company in Kauai.
Aroma: Fruity just scratches the surface. Mostly a pineapple/guava extract smell, but they say it is passion fruit. Smells like something Dole makes.
Appearance: Hazy to Opaque thick gold color with very little head.
Flavor: FRUIT JUICE! This isnt really beer is it? My guess this is more of a fruit/beer hybrid of some sort. It has to be blended, but wow, the fruit taste is just GREAT! There is enough beer that Im comfortable reviewing it here instead of fruitadvocate.com.
Mouthfeel: Fairly acidic, very low carbonation which works in its favor, and get this: pulpy.
Overall Impression: Fruity as Rip Taylor. Really good stuff though. This is really pushing the limits of what we know as beer. As I say, it seems more like a beer cocktail, but one I could see pounding several of. Very refreshing, would make a great drink on the beach.
