Brewed with equal amounts of malted barley and wheat, we've taken this traditional American-style recipe and added just a touch of caramel malt for color and body. Try it straight up or with a lemon. Approximately 4.7% ABV. and 16 IBUs.

Waimea's seasonal West Side Wheat is a filtered koa-colored brew with a spicy finish that cuts through the canyon dust. It pours with a tight little quarter-inch head as white as an island gardenia. It throws a very subtle nose with the yeast dancing in the surf with some sweet citrus notes. Although I'm not a big fan of wheat beers being filtered, the West Side was quite refreshing. I'd still like to taste what Waimea could do with an unfiltered version.
