Dark, yellow-orange cloudy color body. I've seen few beers more cloudy than this one. The head is enormous and fluffy. An enormous banana smell dominates the nose, with ample yeasty, powdery notes as well coming through. Light and citrusy.
The taste is wholey complex. On one hand, there's the salty, somewhat puckering orange peel taste that's felt most on the tongue and in the back of the throat. Then, there's a wide, mellow pine nut, or maybe banana chip flavor, that's experienced after the fact in the mouth and in the aftertaste. Amongst those two flavors, there are also herbal, or medicinal, elements of ginger and cloves.
Heavy, creamy body, almost lacking in carbonation. I wanted more carbonation I thought, although without was also good, turning into a meal.
