On tap at the wonderful Beer Cafe Barley in Nishinomiya. Called an American Black Ale but interestingly such a style doesn't seem to be on an American website. Anywho, very nice beer! Not opaque but blackish with some brown tinges. A really nice mix of roasty malts with some fruity hop aromas. The fruity hop aromas may be why they called it American? Well worth trying, a very approachable, drink anytime kind of black beer.
