A gold, less than clear body, very active in the glass, with a creamy topping head. Excellent retention. The smell was dusty and lightly sweet. The taste was big--fruity and hoppy. Chewy grains and raw-tasting hops. A well-controlled finish, with a subdued floral hop kick. Pretty sharp carbonation in the mouth. A light to medium body. Very drinkable.
Had on-tap at the Otaru Bine, the restaurant/sales shop of the Otaru Winery in downtown Otaru. Not currently bottled.
