Sampled at the brewery, review taken from notes. 5.7% ABV. Deep ruby in color, topped by a medium off white head. Carbonation level is light and the slight nose is malty, very light. Flavor starts slowly then builds to a nice level of maltiness. Lacks a swet or roasty finish that was expected, reminiscent of many brown ales.

Muddy crimson brown. Translucent with a pocked tan skim.
Nose of raspberry cream cheese and vanilla hued cedar.
Enters with a mild cocoa -it's only suggestion of roastedness. After that, it's all buttery with notions of berry sweetness and liquorice. No hopping to note. Rides out with a tart-leaning continuation of butter.
Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
This seems to be modeled after, say, Sam Smith's Taddy Porter. It fails. At best, it's quirky. At worst...well.
