Matte yellowed tin with a short stack of off-white cream.
Toffeed nose with flourishes of pear, churned butters, and metallic herbs.
Enters the mouth with a blanketing caramel dough notion, picking up flakes of toffee and fruity esters of apples and pear, before dwelving into a congruent earthy diacetyl butteriness. It's by no mean overencumbering, and actually adds a sense of authenticity. Hops perk up the close adding a flinty metal, lemon rind, and bitter, dried herbs. All told, the hops pack a good deal of noise.
Light-medium bodied, with a lowered carbonation.
A solid pub-styled quaffer, no doubt.
