Clear pale copper with a modest ivory foam.
Grain aroma, backed with water, and fragments of peppered hops.
Starts with a brisk graininess, with tiny glimmers of both honey and caramel, but this stays miles from sweet, or even sweetish. It's not coarse either, as it morphs into soft dough, then is washed away with an enduring wateriness. It picks up on the close with a brief visitation from spicy, crunchy, autumn leaf hop.
Light bodied, with a higher carbonation. This is entirely bland, but clean and innocuous. It can be guzzled in minutes, if not sooner. Right in the same ballpark as Sam Adams Light or Leinie's Amber Light. In that sense, it is a giant stride above nearly all mainstream light beers....as it should be. On its own, eh.
