Burnished copper topped with a skim of stained ivory.
The nose is juxtaposed between sturdy, bread and toffeed malt, and savory grasses.
It begins with a blanketing, dry, biscuit maltiness, perked with toffee and caramel. Doughy through the middle with traces of scorched butter. It finishes with an upticked bitterness, full of wilted flowers and other dessicated flora, along with a sly lemon rind pungency.
Thoroughly similar to their bottled Pie-Eyed Pale Ale, and seemingly possibly the same (I'm told it is not), though Pie Eyed had a bit more American styled force from the hops, and a deepened general depth and breadth.
This is simpler, and more matte.
An okay sessioner, and not much more.
